"Brisk the Great" is now out in paperback and ebook in the Amazon Bookstore!

A.C Case has been practicing art her entire life. She’d often spend hot summers making pottery in her grandmother’s refreshingly cool ceramics studio. She fell in love with drawing and painting and latched on to as many creative endeavors as she could find. Often writing short stories in her school days and being noted as the artist in her grade, it was clear that creativity would be a staple of who she is. Branching out into multiple career opportunities, she studied Animal Sciences and biology in college, dabbled in Animal Law Enforcement and shortly after pivoted to become a K-6 Educator and STEM coordinator and instructor. Nowadays, when she's not taking care of her two inspiring children, three noisy backyard chickens or overly excited pup, she has returned to her roots as an artist. As a freelance artist, her artwork can be seen through character illustrations and book covers for independent authors. With the release of Brisk the Great, she hopes to encourage young readers to pursue their passions and never give up on their quests.

The story of Brisk the Great was inspired by a combination of A.C. Case's love of fantasy and her children’s struggles with navigating strong emotions. "Brisk’s character was born from watching my youngest. A little stubborn, a little headstrong. Fully capable, but sometimes needing just a little help or a new perspective.” Case says. With a main character in mind she began working on a rough draft of the story and character sketches. Through all the trials and tribulations of character design, storyboarding, outlining, illustrating, scrapping pages and starting over, what began as a passion project to test her skills and knowledge became a full testimonial to her dedication as an artist, mother, educator and her own emotional growth.Along Brisk’s journey he learns to overcome fears and how to deal with feelings of frustration and being overwhelmed. However, the main point is that he doesn’t do it alone, but with the help of his friends. “I think there is a part in all of us that wants to be superhuman and take on the world by ourselves. But in reality, everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Learning to combine those strengths and work as a collective is how we can all really shine.” She says.
